LP Optimisation for the Next Milestone of the German Energy Transition

The study focuses on Germany's transition from fossil fuels and nuclear energy to renewable sources as part of the "Energiewende." Key findings suggest that by 2020, natural gas and onshore wind will emerge as the most economically viable electricity sources, while the reliance on coal will decline due to ecological concerns, though conventional energy production will still be needed for the foreseeable future.
