Great Books by German Women in the Age of Emotion, 1770-1820

Focusing on the significance of emotion, this study advocates for the recognition of six late-eighteenth-century German-language novels written by and featuring women. It challenges existing literary canons by highlighting the unique contributions of these works, emphasizing their emotional depth and the perspectives they offer on women's experiences during that era. The analysis aims to reshape the understanding of literary history by including these often-overlooked narratives.
