When he was released in 1889, he started the long journey to a place that everyone called North, but only to get run over by five hooded men with torches who left him to die wounded and out of food. While sitting beside the road waiting for death to come, Jim was awakened by 60 year old Prophet Josh Grady, a self appointed faith healer who didnât like women, and constantly beat and belittled his young wife Norma. When Josh refused to have a relationship with Norma, a flame became a blaze between her and Jim, and a son, Peter, was born.
