The Journey Home is a devotional and practical study of how to think our way through this life of difficulty and live a life of true humility. THINKING OUR WAY HOME In this study, we are learning how to think our way home-how to think as we persevere to the end. There is no glorification with Christ apart from suffering with Christ. The world hates Him and hates His people, so the child of God is destined for suffering. How do we deal with that suffering? God gives us courage not through positive thinkg, but through truful thinking about our world (its current pain and future deliverance), about ourselves (our current mixture of troubles and foretastes of a new day), and about our hope as believers. THE LIFE OF TRUE HUMILITY This study helps us know what the book of James teaches about humility-what it isn't, what it is, why it's essential, and how to get it. It explains why we need to stop trying to act humble, then points us twoard receiving true humility as a gift from God.
