Bob Hogarth arrived in Wyoming's Big Horn Basin with nothing but a small herd of cattle. He's learned from bitter experience and a broken heart that wage-earning ranch hands have no future. He's determined to do better, to own his own ranch. But there seem to be folks in the Basin that don't want to see him succeed, other ranchers with their own plans for the future, and a mysterious rustler on a barefoot horse.
