The Lantern on the Plow

George Agnew Chamberlain was a successful American writer during the first half of the twentieth century. He wrote dozens of novels, with seven made into motion pictures. The Lantern on the Plow, set in southern New Jersey, follows the tribulations and ultimate triumph of the Sherborne family as they struggle to find their way in a changing landscape.
