After a lifetime of poetry, this collection provides a mere fraction of Rabbi Reeve Robert Brenner’s literary output, however removed from his far better known works of scholarship and philosophy. Sometimes playful and at other times serious, even profound, he offers various variations on a theme and several changes in personas. He writes as a Jew, of course, as a Rabbi, but also as a father, grandfather and friend, with his heart often in the land of Israel, but always still quintessentially American.
