The parrot, out of empathy, wanted to get Mr. Naught out of his psychological spiral. And Mr. Naught is not someone who would easily accept defeat. His psychological moorings are so deep-rooted that unless and until he is shocked into consternation, he would not budge. So, the parrot takes up the confrontational path. The parrot did not like Mr. Naught being tormented by endless desires to expand his business. The parrot thought Mr. Naught would hurt himself if he did not pull himself out of the vortex of his ever-expanding desires.
