En savoir plus sur le livre

Six years after he met Mark Kreider, his first gay friend, Kane Yamada and his wife, Julie, operate Pacific Lights, a refuge for street youth in Hollywood. Julie Tokishi was Kane's college sweetheart and lived through the Mark Kreider months with Kane as related in Jason Timothy Stephens' first book, In Hawthorn Park. Pacific Lights serves all youth arriving there, but is specifically gay friendly. This gay orientation makes the home the target of homophobic television evangelist, the Reverend Harry Hursh. As Kane battles to save Pacific Lights from the clutches of Hursh, he comes to rely on the services of journalist, Jeremy Sherwood. The relationship between Jeremy, Kane, and Julie, as well as the criminally depraved machinations of Harry Hursh, form the basis for this tumultuous second novel, On Los Lunas Way. Once again, Stephens lays bare the catastrophic results of prejudice and hatred. This time the hate emanates, not from a group of misguided college boys, but from a powerful religious figure and his minions. Pacific Lights may survive and prosper, but not before untold pain and grief strike its founders. Meanwhile, Jeremy Sherwood is confirmed in his role as crusading journalist, out to strike down the high and mighty, and avenge a tragedy in his own past as well.
