Dr. Ajit R. Thete has been awarded educational qualification as, B.E. (Civil), Master of Technical Education, Master of Engineering, Master of Business Administration, Ph. D., and Fellow of Institution of engineers. He is a member of seven professional bodies. He has professional experience of 36 years in teaching, administration, and allied domains. He served as head of the department in Civil Engineering, Joint director in technical education in the department of Higher and Technical Education, the government of Maharashtra (India). He has developed and authored the unique document for a quality learning system. He is member of several bodies at HEIs, Universities, and state government. This book is intended to facilitate the design and implementation of the Outcome-Based Education system for the curriculum users/stakeholders, inclusive of the students. The purpose of this book is to describe the processes in developing different components of the OBE system like management tools (mission, vision, core values), curriculum outcomes, learning-teaching strategies, rubric, evaluation process, and planning for continuous improvement. The different types of HEIs such as Universities and Colleges offering Under-graduate/ Postgraduate programs in faculties like Arts, Commerce, and Science; Health Science institutes; Engineering Colleges are considered in writing the chapters and examples in this book.
