En savoir plus sur le livre

Dangerous Faeries lurk in the forest as five individuals, pursued by the Sheriff of Nottingham and his guards, seek refuge in Sherwood Forest, where they encounter legendary Faeries. In “Tod the Fox and the Faeries in the Ring,” Tod flees into the forest but falls into a Faerie Ring, where he must find a way to escape the Faeries who play with their captives. “The Poisoner and the Faerie Huntsman” follows Melly, who, after being falsely accused of poisoning, seeks shelter in the woods. However, she soon encounters the black hounds of the Wild Hunt and the ominous Huntsman, raising the stakes of her escape. “Three Yule Feasts for Faeries” tells the story of Ellen Best, a cook struggling to find work during Yule. When a Faerie offers her a series of feasts in exchange for purses of gold, she wonders what the final feast entails. In “Friar Tuck and the Faerie at the Pool,” the titular Friar seeks solace at a forest pool, only to meet a mesmerizing but dangerous Faerie. He must prove he is a man of peace to avoid her wrath. Finally, “Alan-a-Dale and the Harp of Elandrielle” features Alan-a-Dale, who wins a song competition but faces revenge from his rivals. At his lowest, a Faerie offers him a tempting bargain, but trust is a dangerous game. This collection weaves together the legends of Robin Hood with the enchanting yet perilous world of British Faerie lore.
