Roots and Branches is my second book and instead of picking up where my first one left off, this new book gives the reader a better understanding of who I am by delving even deeper into my past and psyche.I can only write real life. My life. That is what this book is about. That is what my first book was about. My family, my life and my thoughts on my world. The only difference is that my new book focuses on the grown-up Marcus White. The one who has seen the err in his ways. The one who wants to be a perfect father and simply a grown up.When I started writing Roots and Branches it was merely for selfish reasons. I did it to prove that I could do it again but more than anything I wanted to show improvement from my first book. I feel that this book does just that. It shows growth and maturity without losing itself in my chase for change.
