Muddle-in-Marsh Hospital was near closure because of inept conduct of financial and other affairs. The board of directors and doctors resigned. Community activists rallied to appoint a new board of directors and a new administrator to turn around the hospital. Doctors returned to the staff. Board members Mona Lott and George G.
