I Don't Date Black Women is a short collection of stories that detail the impact black women have had on the author's life. Each story represents a gift received from the black women. The gifts are part of the personal healing and self discovery process of the author, Sid Scott. Sid Scott is a mixed-race man who at one time struggled to embrace his identity up until he met a woman who granted him the opportunity to come home to himself and his truth that finally allowed him to accept all parts of himself, particularly his racial identity.
