It's the month before Christmas and shopping mall Santa, Ray Mays, a former derelict, prepares to play the role he's dreamed of all year. It's a chance to atone, in part, for the many mistakes that characterize his life. When his estranged daughter contacts him and begs for his help, he must decide if the feeling of atonement is worth more than the real thing. His daughter's request is actually trivial-just locate her young son's missing pet-but it's his first chance to prove he's a changed man. Is yet another failure worth the risk?
