Ben Ford is not leading his best life. A college dropout, he moved with a girlfriend to Alabama, only to be dumped six months later for his lack of ambition. That same inertia keeps him in a job moving furniture instead of returning to Saint Louis, until he learns that an uncle has died and left him something in his will. Although that something is quite a significant amount of money, he unearths another mystery that could prove much more lucrative. It appears that his uncle had an object that Anna Dare, a local woman who claims to be a Prophet of God because she won the Powerball twice, desperately wants to get her hands on.
