En savoir plus sur le livre

The present volume hasn't been written originally in a form of book. It may be considered a thematic well-arranged collection of my research works of last few years focusing on a particular area of social science. There is an underlying theme which covers my ten selective research papers, published independently in different internationally reputed and peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings over the years. All these papers have included an extensive annotated bibliography orliterature review and based on exhaustive study and field survey made from time to time. Divided into ten chapters 'Hungry Times: Growing Vulnerability of people and Cultures in India and across the World' empirically deals with the menace of vulnerability, faced by various categories of people, communities, creeds and cultures of India as well as the world through many ways over the ages. The vulnerability can be defined as the diminished capacity of an individual or group to anticipate, cope with, resist and recover from the impact of natural and man-made troubles. This is equally applicable to the days of past and present.
