Land use and land cover of four water bodies studied in and around Davangere it was interesting to note that Bathi lake and Hadadi lake have more agricultural lands compared to Yelebethur lake and TV-Station Reservoir. Bathi lake as 80.06 sq km of agricultural land in 1970 and in 2005 80.26 sq km Hadadi lake has 64.01 sq km in 1970 and in 2005 66.87 sq km but Yelebethur lake has 26.76 sq km in 1970 and 44.63 sq km in 2005 The physico-chemical characteristics and biological aspects also shone that certain pollution indicators are present in Bathi and Hadadi lake like macrophytes such as Pistia, Eichhonia, Lemna.
