The narrative follows Pericles, Prince of Tyre, as he navigates treacherous challenges, including a deadly riddle posed by King Antiochus, and his escape from danger. After helping the starving city of Tarsus, he wins the hand of Thaisa in a tournament. Tragedy strikes when a storm leads to the presumed death of Thaisa during childbirth. Pericles, believing her lost, returns to rule Tyre while their daughter, Marina, is raised by others. The play intertwines themes of fate, loss, and redemption, showcasing Pericles' journey through adversity and his eventual reunion with his family.
