Anthony Trollope, a prominent Victorian novelist, explored political, social, and gender issues through his extensive body of work. After leaving his job at the British Post Office to pursue a political career, he shifted focus to writing following an electoral defeat. Notably, he edited St Paul's Magazine, where many of his novels appeared as serials.
